Agios Tychonas is busy in summer and the seafront avenue moves slowly. Pre-booking a private car removes that from your arrival: the fare is agreed before you fly, the flight is tracked so a delay only shifts the meeting time, and the motorway route ends at the hotel canopy rather than at a kerbside stop. Departures work the same way in reverse — the pickup hour is calculated from your flight, from the lobby.
The main route. We drive the A1 west and leave at the Amathus exit, which reaches the resort belt east of Limassol centre without crossing city traffic. The car stops under the hotel canopy and the porters take the bags.

Paphos is the alternative gateway. It sits on the far west of the island, so the drive comes in along the A6 and passes the whole city before the resort strip — longer, and best when your flight only lands in Paphos.

AMARA runs through the winter season and heats its indoor pool from November to mid-May. Larnaca keeps the stronger winter flight schedule, which makes the A1 route the sensible choice out of season too.
